Bounty Hunting is a Dangerous Job

There are many different positions that are related to criminal justice. One that you don’t hear a lot about is the role of the bounty hunter. The bounty hunter works for a bail bond agency. Whenever a client in one of those agencies fails to show up for court, it is the job of the bounty hunter to locate that person and turn him or her over to the authorities.
Most bounty hunters will tell you that the job is a tough one but that it’s usually safe. The key word there is usually. Although most criminals will come along peacefully with the bounty hunter once they are caught, there are always some criminals who won’t go down without a fight. The bounty hunter risks being in dangerous situations including being shot at or attacked by the criminal who does not want to take the chance on having to go to jail.
The bounty hunter may end up having to chase down such criminals for quite a distance. A bail bonds Seattle business may hire a bounty hunter who has to follow a customer all the way down to California before being caught. The further away a criminal is able to get, the more dangerous the job becomes because it’s a lot more likely that at that point the person doesn’t want to be caught.
