Health Care Training Choices

My mother-in-law is thinking of working in the healthcare industry, and is considering different ways of getting healthcare career training. She is trying to decide not only how and where she wants to get her education, but what will be best for her career in the long run.
One of the options she has is to work for a company that will pay for her training. The drawbacks are that she will be paid a fairly poor wage until she completes her training, and she has to work a grunt job for 90 days before they’ll start putting her through the training.
The other option is to attend a private healthcare training school and pay for it up front, and then use that degree in order to get a good job from the start. Obviously, having to pay for the schooling herself is a drawback, but it may help her get a better-paying job after graduation.
One of the schools she is considering is Sanford Brown, a fairly well-known name in the industry. Sanford Brown has campuses all over the place, but Sanford Brown Institute Ft. Lauderdale and Sanford Brown White Plains are two of the branches my mother-in-law is most interested, because of the choices of programs each offers.
There are a lot of decisions to make when you are looking for healthcare career training, but it’s important to take your time and make your decisions wisely. After all, this could affect your career path — not to mention the rest of your life!
