Airsoft MilSim is military simulation that uses airsoft guns, BB guns that fire plastic BBs using compressed air or gas.  Here are some tips for putting together a really good airsoft MilSim game with your friends.

1. Choose a time period.  MilSim can certainly take place in a modern day setting, and with airsoft guns that represent modern weapons, such as the classic army.  But you can also choose from different periods in history, and get airsoft guns that look like period weapons.
2. Dress the part.  Part of the fun of MilSim is dressing up in appropriate clothing, and carrying appropriate weapons, for the time period and character you have chosen.  It makes the entire game feel more real — and more exciting.
3. Historical reenactment or your own game?  When you play airsoft MilSim, you can reenact a battle in history, or just create your own battle or game.
4. Set rules.  Any good airsoft game needs rules.  For instance, you and your friends should determine ahead of time how many hits you should take before you are officially considered dead.
5. Be safe.  Remember to follow safety rules any time you and your friends are handling your airsoft guns.  Even if they are toy guns, they are still potentially dangerous and should be treated with care.
6. Have fun!  Go out there, play airsoft with your friends, and have a blast!
