How to Get My Husband to Lose Weight

I am sure glad that now they are targeting men in the Diet plans being advertised on TV. That’s nice because I think a lot of men initially shied away from these programs because they felt everything was geared to women.

I know for sure that the old “rabbit food” diets turned off men completely.  They would much rather just exercise.  Even today, that’s what my husband uses as an excuse because he doesn’t want to alter his eating habits all that much.  Even when the Atkins diet came out, he wasn’t all that enamored of it.  Plus, he already had high cholesterol, so that really wouldn’t have helped him much.  And didn’t the Atkins diet turn out to be sort of a health hazard?  But his BMI is so bad; he really has to do something.

But now I see diet after diet that’s targeted to the likes of men, which is really nice.  They definitely have their own food desires that are different from what women want. They may have to alter their preference for three large meals; I think they’d have to graze all day the way women like to.  But the food is supposed to be more manly and stuff.   Now, maybe I can get my husband interested in getting on the ball!

My husband is just the opposite, he hates to exercise. The word diet is like a curse, he eats fairly well, but he’s got a sweet tooth. He enjoys yard work, which is great because that burns a lot of calories. So now I come up with lots of fun yard activities to keep him active.
