I work at a large pre-school and daycare center. The kids go through a lot of arts and crafts supplies at an alarming rate and we always need toys. My supervisor started buying things from an online store that sells school supplies and classroom supplies. She was really happy with their products and service, so now she orders from them regularly. Once there was a problem with part of an order and we had to return something, but it was really easy, so we were pleasantly surprised by the process.
Now the manager says she is planning on getting stuff from the school supply store for the holidays. That’s always one of the busiest times for us, and we put up lots of decorations and give the kids little gifts, like fancy pencils, crayons, and novelty items. They love them, and parents love them too. Sometimes they ask us where they can get them. The manager is thinking of ordering more of the most popular items and selling them to the parents. She always has good ideas; that should be a good way of boosting our cash flow, she says.
Last week she asked me if I’d be willing to take over the ordering, since she needs to attend to other things. She showed me how she does it. It’s really pretty easy, so I said yes.

My son lives just south of me in Sacramento. He is a huge 49er’s fan, and often goes to their games with a group of his guy friends. And that’s exactly where he was this last Sunday when he got arrested. Yes, he got arrested.
Apparently the guy behind him in the stands had been being obnoxious the whole game, and had been annoying the boys. Well one of the boys (not my son) confronted this guy midway through the second half, and this guy tossed a beer on my son’s friend. At that point they should have called for security, but that didn’t happen. My son punched the guy out instead.
My son was taken to jail, and bail was set at $20,000. Now I’m not hurting for cash, but that’s a lot of money! Fortunately in California bail bonds are a way to get someone out of jail without paying the full bail amount. I just contacted a Sacramento bail bonds company, gave them all of the information that they needed plus 10% of the bail amount. Then a bail bond agent took care of the rest. Of course he still has to go to court, but at least he is not sitting in a jail cell until that day arrives.

Life is not like the board game Monopoly. There is no Get Out of Jail Free card. And you definitely don’t get $200 when you pass Go.
Coming up with bond money is pretty hard for most people. That’s not a mistake, though — courts deliberately set bail at an amount they think is pretty significant for the person. They don’t want you to be able to bail yourself out too cheaply, or you might not come back for your court date. That’s also why you lose your bail money if you don’t show up for court.
The result is that many people need to get help with bail bonds. A bondsman will put up the money to bail you out of jail IF you put something up as collateral, in case you don’t come to court. For instance, when a guy I knew back in my wilder days went to jail for theft, his grandmother had to put her house up for collateral in order to get a bondsman to post bail for him.
If you are looking for help posting bail for yourself or someone you know on the West coast, there are usually plenty of bondsmen in the areas around the jail. For example, if you are looking in California for bail bonds Sacramento, Los Angeles, and the other major cities should have plenty of bondsmen for you to choose from. I’m sure the intention is to capitalize on walk-in traffic.
You should also be sure to check the phone book or Google for bondmen in your area. For example searching online for “bail bonds Orange County” should pick up more options than you could ever even need.
Getting yourself bailed out of jail is not easy, but remember that it’s not meant to be!
